I think one of my favorite topics of study, experimentation, and implementation is Human Factors.

I learned from one of the all-time greats Howard Estes who learned from the guys who invented it and UoM.


In Advanced Vehicle Engineering at Chrysler, we applied the basics to every product and tested the options.


"​OSCAR" was Developed to work on 2D drafting applications in the real world at full scale.


In cooperation with the folks at SAE, this became the standard for accommodating people of a wide range of sizes into a vehicle. 

The point was to make sure that we ALL could see out of and reach all of the critical controls regardless of our height or weight. 


Most people don't recognize the effort that goes into making cars safe and drivable, but it was our job to push for the best possible solutions.
