Shoemaster
Shoemaster has one really amazing capability; it can take a scan and turn it into a usable surface. It is one of the few programs I have seen that does it quickly and easily. Curves can be drawn on the last surface or in the flattened mode and display back and forth.
I have worked with Shoemaster for several years going directly to the ATOM Flashcut with hundreds of designs
A scan is brought into SM and orientated into position where a surface can be generated
With the surface a "Flattening" can be made
With a flattening the design can begin on either 3D or 2D and viewed in each window
