High Heels
I view Heels as "theatrical" or pure sculpture since they have little practical use other than display.
"Sculpture... on or off the foot!"
It all began back in 2003 with a simple request form Ivana Kalafatic during the lead up to the 2004 Detroit Artists Market annual show "Furniture and Fashion." I was showing 6 pieces of "Sculptural Furniture" Ivana requested items made by the exhibitors for the models to wear during the opening fashion show.
After that I could not get shoes out of my mind so in 2006 I began learning to make shoes and have never stopped.
